Doña Florinda is portrayed as a strong-willed and often overprotective mother to her son, Quico. She is known for her snobbish attitude, often looking down on others, especially the show's protagonist, El Chavo del 8. Her character often gets involved in humorous conflicts, especially with her neighbor, Don Ramón, who is often the target of her disapproval.
